The rivalry grew stronger back on August third when Sporting KC dominated Real Salt Lake at home 2-0. Now, back in their fortress know as Rio Tinto, Real Salt Lake will be looking to get back at Sporting Kansas City, so to speak.
[Real Salt Lake] - Coming off a very strange 2-1 victory at Seattle, RSL find themselves in 4th in the highly-competitive Western Conference. Even though their position in the standings is okay, Real Salt Lake will be looking to pick up three points in order to move higher up the standings.
[Sporting Kansas City] - This team should be filled to the brim with confidence after their last game where they thrashed Houston at home 3-0. Their endless attacking options are starting to be called the "most dangerous in the league." Going into this match, SKC will have first place in the East in view; with a win, they could very well take sole position of the top of the table.

|Two of the most feisty, skillful, and in-form center-mids in the league will face off at Rio Tinto.|
This game is a close match to call, featuring two teams that are really in full stride. Some may think that RSL's home-field advantage will decide the game; I think otherwise. If Sporting Kansas City can come out with as much energy as they did against Houston and control the midfield, they might just be able to sneak a couple past Real Salt Lake.
