Friendly to be played in Kansas City?
Robb Heineman's done it again.
Late Wednesday night, Sporting Club's CEO gave fans some inside information, not yet released by an official club statement. He tweeted this:
"Good news tonight on a GREAT friendly. Hopefully we can finish it up. Stay tuned"
So, with that, it looks as though Kansas City will be the home to another friendly, possibly as great as when Manchester United took on what was the Kansas City Wizards at the time. I really don't think Robb would describe the friendly as 'GREAT' (in all caps) if it wasn't set to be a huge occasion. Honestly, I'm not exactly sure what to expect - but what I do know is that Robb is always capable of the unexpected.
There are many questions still left unanswered: Will Sporting KC be featured in the friendly, or will the game be between two international sides (whether it be club or country)? Will the friendly be held at LIVESTRONG Park or Arrowhead? The latter of the questions can really only be answered when fans find out how substancial the friendly is; if the team(s) featured are a huge draw, the game may have to be played at Arrowhead.
Any guesses on what teams will be featured in the friendly?
